"Vertical Up for OOIC"

“In welding when the torch moves vertically and upwards to join two pieces of metal, it is referred to as a ‘vertical up.’ I first saw it used by students in the OOIC (Omaha Opportunities Industrialization Center) while they were working on my sculpture. I eventually named the piece ‘Vertical Up for OOIC’.”
